There is only one true and eternal God. His word is found in the Bible.

Some day, you will stand before and be judged by God Almighty, creator of heavens and earth.

Will the gates of heaven be opened for you?

Or will you be cast into the eternal lake of fire?

Have you kept the Ten Commandments or have you broken His holy and perfect law?

How many lies have you told in your life?
How much have you taken that did not belong to you?
How many times have you used the Lord’s name in vain?
How many times have you failed to love your neighbor as yourself?
How many times have you failed to love the Lord Your God with all of your heart, strength and mind?

“For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it” James 2:10

You will be guilty. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 None can stand before Holy, Just and Almighty God. Your guilt is certain and your sentence is death.

God will say to you, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire” Matthew 25:41

He is righteous and just to punish all wickedness and evil.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8

2000 years ago, God became a man. The man Jesus of Nazareth.

Jesus is 100% man and 100% God. The word incarnate in the flesh. He lived a perfect life, the life we could never live. Then he suffered death in our place and bore our sins in his own flesh. All these things were foretold beforehand in the scriptures.

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

Before he yielded up His Spirit on the cross, He said “It is finished” John 19:30

In other words, the debt is paid. The unpayable sin debt which we owe God was paid by Jesus to reconcile us back to Him.

After Jesus was crucified, he was buried but death could not hold him, for sin had no power over him. On the third day, he rose again. The tomb was found empty. The resurrection of Jesus showed his victory over death and the power of sin.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Trust in Jesus Christ alone and his finished work on the cross.

Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:16

Jesus loves you! “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13

Salvation through what Jesus did on the cross cannot be earned nor is it deserved by any of us.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

What must I do to be saved?

Repent and put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

To repent – understand the seriousness of sin, turn away from it, and to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ – trust in Him alone for salvation.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” Romans 10:9

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
